Rag Quilt Update

Well, things are coming along nicely! I ended up having to go get one more print (the one on the right) because I was counting the back piece for one that would be on the front, and after I realized that I only had three prints besides the back one, I ran to the store the other morning and got the pretty pink one! So here is an updated look at the fabric selection. While buying that pink fabric, I went ahead and bought the batting I needed and started making my "sandwiches" lol. Seriously, if I didn't have that rotary tool, this quilt wouldn't even be done by Easter. But, that is not the case, and I'm hoping to have this done in the next week or two! yeah! So I've already busted out the sewing machine, and when I started getting thread on the bobbin, Canela went CRAZY!!! But after I calmed her down, things went very nicely. Slowly but surely, I'm getting the squares sewn together..Basically I just have to sew a big 'X' across each square. I'm just doing 10 of each print so I can kinda start putting the pieces together so I can see exactly how they will lay next to each other..I don't think I really want there to be a pattern, just kinda random, so we'll see how that goes. So I have 20 done total; 10 polka dots and 10 of the pink floral. Tomorrow is my first day off since I started this, so i'm anxious to see how much I will get done. And on a side note..My work threw me a belated baby shower on Saturday since I was put on bed rest early on, they were never able to throw me one, so they got me a gift card to target..so of course I'll be shopping tomorrow as well as sewing the quilt, so we'll see how much I will get done. LOL!
